Board of Directors of Mechel has convened a meeting to approve a major transaction. Shareholders who vote against or do not attend the meeting will be able to submit their shares for repurchase at ₽82.03 per ordinary share and ₽79.25 per preferred share. Meeting will be held on December 24.

Mechel's loss under IFRS for 6 months of 2025 amounted to ₽40.51 billion, an increase of 2.5 times compared to ₽15.98 billion in the previous year. Revenue decreased by 26.1% to ₽152.29 billion against ₽205.95 billion a year earlier.

Mechel's Board of Directors appointed Igor Hafizov as the company's CEO. Oleg Korzhov, who headed Mechel since 2014, has left the company. Igor Hafizov works at Mechel and worked his way up from assistant machinist to First Deputy General Director.
