Retailer Magnit has begun testing the sale of fast food: French fries, nuggets, wings, sandwiches and other dishes that are prepared in a few minutes right in front of the customer. These products are available in more than 30 convenience stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Assortment includes about 15 items. Introduction of new products for on-the-go snacking contributed to a 3-7% increase in sales of the ready-to-eat food category and, in general, to an increase in store turnover.
