MC-21 aircraft during flight tests for the first time performed an automatic landing under ICAO Category IIIA. Category IIIA means that it is allowed to land with a visibility range on the runway of at least 200 meters and a decision height of at least 30 meters. This flight opened the program of factory tests of the automatic landing system, which will be followed by certification tests - a total of about 100 flights are planned.
