Representatives of the Indian diamond sector are resuming imports of rough diamonds, including from Russia, the Indian Gem and Jewelry Export Promotion Council said. Import ban was imposed for two months, from October 15 to December 15, amid concerns about a decline in demand in international markets. Now the demand for natural diamonds is gradually recovering in key markets such as the U.S., China, the Middle East and Europe.
