Novatek started the practical stage of implementation of the project for construction of an LNG terminal and onshore infrastructure for gasification of Kamchatka CHPPs. Work has begun on the construction of floating infrastructure, shuttle vessels and the regasification unit itself, which will convert LNG from liquid to gaseous. First shipments of liquefied natural gas to Kamchatka are planned to start this year. Gas will be supplied from the Sakhalin 2 project.
