Authorities of St. Petersburg have obliged developers to provide parking spaces for SIMs. Parking lots should be available near universities, train stations, shops, cafes, offices, and even on sidewalks, as long as they do not interfere with others. There are a total of 49 types of facilities on the list. Number of parking spaces depends on traffic. "Previously, this issue was not regulated in any way. However, the popularity of SIMs is growing... and the city needs to create conditions for their civilized use," said Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg.
