In May, NOVATEK plans to make a trial shipment of an LNG tanker from Yamal LNG through the Bering Strait directly to the Chinese market. Tanker Christophe de Margerie is to deliver a batch of LNG to China by June 11. If the tanker succeeds in delivering the cargo to China in 25 days, it will be the earliest passing through the North Sea Route eastwards to Asia.
