Yum Brands has sued Grubhub on charges of violating the 2018 agreement, which the latter recently rescinded. Yum then invested $200 million in Grubhub and the companies entered into an exclusive agreement to deliver food from thousands of KFC and Taco Bell restaurants owned by Yum on exclusive terms. The agreement required Grubhub to pay Yum $50 million to terminate the agreement in the event Grubhub became controlled by a third party, which could apply to the recent deal between Grubhub and Just Eat Takeaway.
