Bank of Russia from January 1, 2021 in order to protect interests of unqualified investors-natural persons recommended Russian stock exchanges not to admit foreign stocks to trading if they are not included into any of 42 international indices specified in the annex to the informational letter of the regulator. Also, securities are not allowed to be traded if the exchange has not concluded an agreement with the market maker. However, the recommendation does not apply to the securities of companies that are placed during the IPO on foreign stock exchanges. Admission to trading of such securities is agreed with the Central Bank.
