BASF and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice are selling their Solenis joint venture to Platinum Equity for $5.25 billion. Solenis supplies chemicals for the paper industry and water treatment. BASF owns a 49% stake, while Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and the management of the joint venture own 51%. The deal is scheduled to close in late 2021.
