Tencent obtained its first gaming license in China in 15 months through a little-known subsidiary of Tencent Nanjing Wangdian Technology, according to the website of China's video game regulator. However, the license is for a small mobile game called Health Defense Battle, which gives players health tips while playing, and it is unlikely to bring Tencent the same profits as popular games like Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile. Tencent's competitor, NetEase, also got its first approval in a long time and not a small mobile game either.
