Norwegian Equinor has sold its stakes in Russian joint ventures to Rosneft for €1, transferring in return its investment commitments worth $1 billion, sources told Reuters. In the first quarter of 2022 the book value of Equinor assets in Russia was estimated at $1.1 billion, now it is written down to zero. At the same time, Equinor representative told the agency that the deal with Rosneft turned out to be neutral in terms of value. Rosneft declined to comment.
