Head of Moscow Exchange Supervisory Board Sergey Shvetsov believes that it is necessary to create an institute to protect the rights of minority shareholders and support their activism. He proposes: to revive the activism of institutional investors so that they make claims to the board of directors of public companies, pushing it to work effectively; to create a bank of candidates to the board of directors, from which any minority can choose a suitable representative and invite others to join the decision. "Where am I going to find someone to protect my interests? I'm an ordinary investor, I don't know people who could perform this function," explains Sergey Shvetsov.
