Government has expanded the program of subsidizing projects for the production of aircraft engines for Russian airplanes. Within two years, it is planned to produce 50 PD-8 engines to power the Sukhoi SuperJet, 20 PS-90A engines for the medium-range Tu-214 aircraft, and 14 PD-14 engines which will be installed on the future flagship of Russian aviation, the MS-21. The United Engine Corporation will receive more than ₽44 billion from the federal budget for these purposes.
