Government of the Russian Federation gave its consent to Rosneft's acquisition of 38% of Samaraneftegeofizika owned by Rosgeologiya. Value of the stake will be determined later on the basis of the appraiser's report. PJSC Samaraneftegeofizika was founded in 1947 for carrying out field seismic exploration and oilfield geophysical works in the Volga-Ural Region. It was among the geological state-owned companies transferred to Rosgeologiya's balance sheet after the presidential decree in 2015. Rosneft currently owns 55% of the company.
