Operator Rostelecom is in talks to acquire MegaFon from USM Group, Kommersant sources told Kommersant. Based on the multiple of 1.75 to the revenue, the company may be valued at ₽616 billion. Now Rostelecom owns 100% of Tele2, and the acquisition of the second largest operator in the market after MTS will make the state holding an absolute leader in the mobile communications segment. However, according to the newspaper's interlocutors, there are other bidders for the operator.
