Lukoil launches well pads No.4 and No.9 at the West Qurna 2 field in Iraq, increasing oil production to a target of 480,000 barrels per day. West Qurna 2 is one of the largest fields in the world with initial recoverable reserves of about 14 bln barrels. Russian company owns 75% of the project, and the remaining 25% is owned by the state-owned Iraqi North Oil Company.
