Project cost of Arctic LNG-2 has increased from the originally announced $21.3 billion to $25 billion, Kommersant sources told Kommersant. Reasons for the increase in costs were the transition to the use of electric drives and the increase in the need for electricity. Cost increases will be covered by shareholders' investments, but the French company TotalEnergies will most likely not participate in the project because of its decision to stop investing in Russian projects.
