Severstal is not considering buying back shares from non-residents, said Nikita Klimantov, head of the company's investor relations department. "Firstly, it is technically impossible, given our status as a sanctioned company. And secondly, there is no desire to do so. Having bought back these shares, what will we do with them later? Will they be treasury shares, will they be extinguished? This means that we will lower the free float even more," he explained.
