MMK launched production of import-substituting fasteners and wire. Investments in the project amounted to ₽1.5 billion. At the same time, ₽500 million was provided to the enterprise by the Industrial Development Fund in the form of a soft loan for the purchase of equipment. Production volume of reinforcing, galvanized and welding wire will be more than 105,000 tons per year, and machine and railway nuts - 4.2,000 tons per year. Previously, the share of supplies of these products from abroad reached 50%.
