Implementation of Novatek's Murmansk LNG project with a capacity of 20.4 million tons per year has been postponed to 2032, according to the comprehensive infrastructure development plan approved by the Government of the Russian Federation until 2036. According to the document, the construction of the Volkhov-Murmansk main gas pipeline for 40 billion cubic meters of gas per year, which will provide raw materials for the new plant, is scheduled to be completed in 2031. Previously, it was planned to launch the gas pipeline by 2030.
