Rosseti Holding has placed tenders for the construction of energy storage systems with a total capacity of 350 MW, which should smooth out consumption peaks in the energy-deficient South of Russia. It is planned to commission storage devices in the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea by November 2026. Maximum cost of the work is ₽59 billion. Analysts note that the cost is significantly higher than its global counterparts — a specific percentage of ₽28.1 thousand per kWh versus ₽18.8 thousand per kWh in China.
