Norilsk Nickel plans to build a platinum production plant in Bahrain, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has said. Market participants believe that it will be a joint venture with a local partner to solve the problem of refusal of some consumers from metal from the Russian Federation.

The Board of Directors of Norilsk Nickel recommended that shareholders not pay dividends based on the results of 2023. The company previously paid a dividend of ₽915.33 per share for the first nine months of 2023.

MMC Norilsk Nickel's RAS net profit for 3 months of 2024 amounted to ₽28.24 billion, against a loss of ₽32.66 billion in the previous year. Revenue rose 7.1% to ₽213.48 billion against ₽199.35 billion a year earlier.

Investment by Nornickel in the growth of mining and processing facilities in Norilsk will amount to ₽300 billion.
