SoftBank terminated its agreement to sell Arm to NVIDIA. The parties made this decision due to serious pressure from the regulatory authorities. Under the terms of the deal, an upfront payment of $1.25 billion will remain with SoftBank and will be recognized as profit in the current quarter. In addition, SoftBank will start preparing Arm for the IPO, which should take place during the year.
