South Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering cancelled a contract with Sovkomlot for the construction of three Arc7 LNG tankers for Arctic LNG-2. The reason was overdue payment under the contract by the shipping company. The Russian shipyard Zvezda is currently building similar tankers, but the work is threatened by EU sanctions, although Rosneft, which manages the shipyard, says it will fulfill the contracts.
