SberMarket plans to launch its own food delivery service from restaurants and cafes, told sources Kommersant. Experts believe that the project will be launched with minimal costs based on the marketplace model with the possibility of self-delivery from connected catering establishments. The business model of Delivery Club and Yandex.Food, which organize delivery themselves, is hardly applicable to SberMarket, as it is unprofitable even if the volume of orders exceeds 200,000 a day, and the service plans to reach operating break-even point by the end of 2023.
