Italy approved the deal of Lukoil to sell the ISAB refinery for €1.5 billion. However, the authorities imposed a number of conditions, including control of oil origin, staff employment and capacity utilization of the refinery. Lukoil acquired the refinery in 2008 and before the pandemic COVID-19 bought 30-40% of raw materials in Russia.
