Number of private investors on Moscow Exchange exceeded 30 million

Number of private investors on Moscow Exchange by the end of January 2024 reached 30.2 million people. Share of individuals in the volume of trading in shares amounted to 76%, in the volume of trading in bonds - 32%, on the spot currency market - 13%, on the derivatives market - 67%. Last month transactions were made by 3.7 million private investors. Total volume of their private investments in the stock market increased by 18% year-on-year to ₽63.4 billion, including ₽43 billion in bonds, ₽8.1 billion in equities and ₽12.3 billion in mutual funds.
