Ford is creating a new division in AI technology for smart cars. The new division, called Latitude, will hire 550 employees from Argo AI, an autonomous driving startup that ceased operations last year. Ford previously invested more than $2.7 billion in Argo AI, but closed the project in October 2022 due to high costs.
