Equinor and Exxon Mobil have agreed to expand their joint oil production project in the Bacalhau field offshore Brazil. The companies plan to install a second drilling rig, a second floating production platform, and build a gas pipeline more than 100 miles long. The companies are expected to deliver up to 220,000 barrels of oil per day from the field in the first phase, beginning in 2024. Equinor is the operator of the project with a 40% stake, ExxonMobil owns another 40%, and Galp has a 20% stake.
