Alrosa is again selling more than $250 million worth of rough a month, which is only about $50 million to $100 million below the level before the conflict in Ukraine began, sources told Bloomberg. According to them, sales resumed after a number of Indian banks found a way to pay for the goods in currencies other than the dollar. Buyers from India and Europe for the most part fulfill the payment mechanism in rupees for goods supplied by Alrosa.
