Rostelecom is negotiating with Russian banks to purchase 49.99% of Veb Ventures in the joint venture Atlas LLC, which was created for the construction of a new generation fiber-optic backbone communication line TEA NEXT. Line capacity will allow to transmit through Russia 30-35% of the global traffic Europe-Asia. Investment in the project was estimated at ₽47.9 billion. Previously, Veb Ventures owned 49.99% of the project.
