Automobile concern Kamaz will start creating an unmanned mining dump truck with an ultra-high payload of 220 tons in February. Work will be carried out in the laboratories of the Kuzbass State Technical University, with which Kamaz has been cooperating in the development of unmanned dump trucks since 2021. Dump trucks with a payload capacity of 220 tons are already produced by BelAZ. Company expects in 2025 to replace all foreign engines on the most common types of mining equipment with Russian engines.
