VTB plans to buy Russian Post's stake in Pochta Bank

VTB plans to buy out Russian Post's stake in Pochta Bank for ₽27.5-29.5 billion. If the deal goes through, VTB will be able to significantly increase its customer base and more than double the number of outlets of Sberbank. However, experts believe that such an increase in the network will be more of a burden for VTB, since the absolute majority of these offices will have to pay rent to the Russian Post.
