TGC-1 plans to commission the first Northwest hydroelectric power plant in decades in the Murmansk Region by the summer of 2026. Last hydroelectric power plant in the North-West of Russia was built in the late 1980s. The new power plant with capacity of 16 MW will be named Arktika and will be the eighth hydropower plant of the Pazskiy cascade, part of which is located in Norway. Power will be generated by the transboundary river Paz in the north of the Murmansk region.
