Novatek is ready to implement the project of Murmansk LNG construction on the resource base of the fields in the south of the Gydan Peninsula. According to Kommersant's estimates, this is about the Geofizicheskoye field, for which the company already in 2017 admitted the possibility of sending gas to the Unified Gas Supply System. Thus, Novatek does not need to buy gas for the project from Gazprom, it only needs to obtain the monopoly's permission to connect to the UGSS, as well as to achieve changes in the law on gas exports.
