American private investment fund Carlyle Group is exploring the possibility of buying Lukoil's foreign assets, sources told Reuters. According to one of them, Carlyle is at an early stage of studying the deal. Company has notified Lukoil of its intentions and is considering the possibility of obtaining permission from the US authorities, after which it can begin asset verification.
