Bank of Russia is discussing with financial market participants what can be done with foreign securities frozen at NSD, said First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Vladimir Chistyukhin. One of the ideas is to consolidate these assets from a major player or fund, which will buy them out from investors. At the same time Chistyukhin said that the appeal of individual investors in foreign courts is a complicated path. To date, foreign securities owned by residents to the amount of ₽6 trillion have been blocked at NSD.
