Russian NIS shareholders Gazprom Neft and Gazprom have agreed to sell their shares in the Serbian oil company under pressure from US sanctions. Buyer has not yet been revealed. Fair value of the shares, according to Finam, is about €1.5 billion, which is significantly higher than the €700 million previously offered by Belgrade. However, experts believe that in the current conditions, Russians will be offered no more than 30% of the funds invested by Gazprom Neft. Company has invested more than €3.5 billion in NIS.
